Love, play, adventure. Your family experiences it all, and the challenges you overcome are worth it!

No one said raising a family was easy. I may not have kids, but my friends do, and I am always so amazed and humbled to see the resilience and dedication parents have for their children, and the lessons they teach them so that one day, their children can have children of their own!

Seeing the family legacy of grandparents, to parents, to children, as well as the love they have for one another, is always a beautiful sight.

Hey there! I'm Amanda, the curator of your family's love story.

Throughout the entire process, I will be guiding you through the process of capturing your family's sense of wonder, adventure, and love for one another.

The future of your children is something you, of course, think about every day!

It is often said that kids are little mini versions of you. They adopt some of your characteristics while developing their own, and sometimes they can take us pleasantly by surprise! What's the funniest moment in your child's life that made you absolutely laugh your socks off?

Moments in time with our kids are often so fleeting that one second, they're two years old and then the next, suddenly they're turning ten! Can someone put a pause on the stopwatch please!? You don't want to miss any of this!

How does this all work?

From our initial consultation to a heartwarming session that makes you squishy inside.

My purpose is to help capture family photos that you can look back upon and live the days gone by of your younger children, the days of laughter, hugs, play, learning, and growing up and having children of their own.

The Process of Family Photos

1. Consultation & Planning

This is the first step in any of the services I provide. Planning is important so we don't miss any of the important details and special requests you may have.

Once you pay your session fee, the fun begins! You will pick your outfits, locations, and any props you want to bring that will help make your session completely tailored to your uniqueness.

2. Capture your Family's Love Story

Times flies when we're having fun! This is the step where we are in the middle of the session taking pictures, being engaged with the kids for the biggest smiles and loudest laughs and creating images that can be beautifully framed or tucked away in a photobook to look at many times.

3. Choose your Favorites & Enjoy!

The final step in the process is selecting your favorite images to go through post processing and editing. You'll have up to a select number of photos to choose from and receive when editing is finished. Once the editing process is done, you'll receive the link to your online gallery where you can download your photos and order any prints you may want!

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take for me to get my photos back?

Your image reveal is scheduled within 1-2 weeks after the date of your session. After you pick your favorites, editing begins, and all completed photos are uploaded into your gallery within 2-3, sometimes sooner!

Do you offer payment plans?

Of course! During our consultation, when you decide you'd like to book me, we talk about the payment structure and options available. You can request a payment plan during our call, and I'll help design a payment plan that fits within your budget.

What types of payments do you accept?

I accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, Stripe, and bank transfers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost to book?

A $400 Standard Session fee is due upon booking. This fee covers your pre-session consultation, professional editing, multiple outfits, and at least 50 digital photos to choose from at your post-session premiere, digital delivery of completed high-resolution, print-ready images, and an online gallery for easy sharing and ordering of prints.

Can I include pets?

Of course you can include your favorite animal companion! I love animals of all kinds, so I would be absolutely thrilled to include them! Just make sure to bring someone with you to help handle them so that they don't take over the spotlight.

Do you travel for sessions?

Sometimes, the best locations for photos are a bit further away, but often times, we have some pretty awesome places locally too! All of my portrait sessions are within a 60-mile radius of Vancouver, Washington. For anything outside of that area, let me know, and I'll provide a custom travel quote for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

For fussy children, how do you help keep the session running smoothly?

I do my best to provide lots of laughs by bringing in props or toys, having the kids play some games in between sit down and pose moments, and having everyone play fun games together, like Escape from Mom and Dad! Of course, there may be times where none of that may work - so breaks are necessary.

What if my child does not want to cooperate at all, despite our best efforts?

If nothing is working, despite our best efforts, the session will be put on "pause" to schedule to use the remaining time on another day, perhaps at another location that is more fun and engaging. My top priority is the happiness and enjoyment for both parents and children, and the best course of action sometimes is to just reschedule.

Will I get a refund if we have to reschedule during our session?

Refunds are not possible day of if we decide during your session that we need to reschedule. However - in the case of fussy kids, the clock is paused on your session, so that you don't lose time. If you cannot reschedule, then a credit is applied for future services to be used at another time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should we get ready for our session?

Here's a quick list on things to do to prepare:

  • Plan your outfits and bring some options with you
  • Bring some toys to provide some distractions for challenging moments
  • Get plenty of rest the night before and hydrate
  • Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and get comfortable

Can other friends or family members attend?

ABSOLUTELY! Having other valued and trusted friends or family members can help make everyone feel more comfortable and will add some fun parts to your session.

What you suggest that we wear to our session?

What's most important to me is that you are comfortable with your family's personal style and tastes in fashion. Think about bringing some casual, formal, and themed outfit options. Avoid logos and bright colors that may steal your spotlight. I encourage color coordinating with everyone, but of course go with your family's vibe!

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I best maximize our experience with you?

Here's some quick tips to get the best experience possible:

  • Communicate your ideas, preferences, and interests during your consultation
  • Be open to trying different poses and locations to shoot in
  • Know that it is OKAY to take a break for challenging moments, and ultimately rescheduling if nothing is working
  • Relax and have fun during your session. Don't forget to smile!

Do you offer digital files?

The bread and butter of my services is providing an online gallery of your favorite photos you selected for editing, with the ability to order any prints and other products you'd like! All of the digital files are in the highest resolution possible, creating perfectly beautiful prints on all sizes.

How do I choose the right location to have our photos done?

I will provide a list of locations such as Laurelhurst Park, Fort Vancouver, Downtown Camas, and more that photos are incredibly beautiful in! I'll ask questions on different elements you would like in your photos, scenery included, and a list is provided to you matching your preferences.
