Getting ready for your photography session can sometimes feel like an overwhelming task! Trust me when I say that the planning process is the easiest, and most exciting, experience you could possibly have - second only to the experience during your session. From scheduling your session to deciding what outfit to wear, I walk with you step-by-step to prepare for your session so that you may look and feel your best and enjoy your experience too! In short, there will be no surprises from me so that you can enjoy our time together.

When you find me and love my work, and want to discuss booking, the first step is to schedule a consultation by a Zoom Call or meeting in person. Our consultation is the perfect time to ask questions, but most importantly, to get to know one another and determine if I am the right fit for you. I am absolutely supportive of you finding what is best for you! I want you to feel completely comfortable with me and my warm and friendly personality, and fully confident that I will capture the vision you have for your photos or perfect wedding day! Out consultation is also the place we discuss outfits, the vision for your session, event, or wedding, and expectations and scope of work.

Booking Process

Okay! We've determined that I'm available, a perfect match for your needs, and I'm within your budget. The next step is to begin the booking process and to cover the retainer to lock in your date. The retainer for all of my services is 50% of the cost up front, with the rest due by the date of your session for portrait services, or two weeks before weddings or events, as it is industry standard for photographers to adhere to. A signed contract is also required signed by both you and me going over everything we discuss in your consultation, which leads to the next section.

My website automatically creates your client profile online to keep track of invoices, sessions, galleries, and any messages we exchange. It will also send out reminders as well, so you don't forget any important steps or your session coming up.

Plenty of Communication

I absolutely believe in complete transparency when it comes to the services I provide, my scope of work, and expectations. Much of this I share with you during our consultation and continuing long after you book my services. It is incredibly important, especially for weddings, that you share with me your expectations before your session. If you have any concerns such as enough bridal portraits or yearbook photos, or if you want a lot of candid shots, let me know what is most important to you and I will of course do my best to meet them! During our consultation, I will be taking lots of notes and asking questions to help build a complete picture of what is being planned. It's also important to know if you have a wedding planner or coordinator so that I can tag team with them about lighting conditions, organizing people for group photos, and more.

The Day of the Wedding or Session

I will arrive usually about 15-20 minutes before our scheduled session time to get a view on the location or venue, take some test shots to determine the settings in my camera based on lighting conditions, and to capture some shots of the setup and before people arrive, if at a larger venue. Throughout the day, I'll capture all of the shots we discussed, follow the completed shot list I sent you of your most important pictures you want, and do my best to ensure you don't miss a thing! If there are special requests during our session or the day of the wedding, let me know. I'm happy to adapt and adjust. I'll be off in the groove, doing my thing, and may check once in a while to ask a question or help arrange group photos. Otherwise, forget I'm even there!

Post Session, Event, Wedding Enjoyment

Here comes the best part - the post processing and delivery of your gallery! On average, all portrait sessions are done within 3-4 weeks from the date of your session, while weddings and events can take much longer at up to 6-8 weeks. All of this depends on the editing time, any blemishes and distracting objects that need removed, and other client's photos I may be working on. Once all of the editing of your photos is completed, you'll receive an online photo gallery of digital images for you to download them all and order prints, cards, and even photo books! The printing labs my website uses does a wonderful job printing high quality products using your photos! Of course, if you prefer a USB flash drive instead of an online gallery, I can provide that as well.
